Frequently Asked Questions

Are requirements different for online vs. face-to-face programs?
Requirements are the same for both programs, and the same degree is granted for each. Degrees granted for online programs do not specify that coursework was completed online.

Can I waive the GMAT requirement?
Work experience will not be counted as a substitution for the GMAT. Please see the links on the left to the Graduate Catalog for detailed information about circumstances in which a GMAT waiver is possible.

Can background coursework be waived?Ìý
All background prerequisites are required to ensure the success of students in the MBA program, but many can be satisfied by CLEP and DSST test-outs. All prerequisites are offered through ULM, both in traditional classroom and online settings.

How are classes scheduled? If I am an online student, how often will I have to log in?
A syllabus is posted at the beginning of each semester that outlines the schedule for each course. The syllabus will outline requirements for virtual attendance, dates homework is due, and dates of tests.Ìý

If I am currently in an MBA program, can I transfer my credits? If I already have a graduate degree, would any of those credits transfer?
Students who are already enrolled in an MBA program can transfer a maximum of 9 credit hours from AACSB-accredited schools as long as grades of B or better were earned.Ìý Students who have a graduate degree may not use any of those credits to satisfy the requirements of a second degree.
